Investment Director – Growth Credit
About the Role:
We’re looking for a high-performing Investment Director to join our Growth Credit team at OneVentures.
This is an end-to-end role, ideal for someone with a strong background in growth or private credit. You will be responsible for originating and executing new investments, managing portfolio companies, and driving successful exits. The role sits within OneVentures’ established Growth Credit team, which is actively deploying capital from its 2024 vintage fund with significant dry powder.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and originating investment opportunities
- Leading company and industry analysis, including managing due diligence on prospective investments
- Supporting investment recommendations through high-quality written work, including drafting investment papers
- Assisting in deal negotiation and structuring, including legal documentation
- Managing portfolio companies from investment through to exit, including reporting responsibilities
- Taking board observer roles or similar positions where you lead or co-lead an investment
- Supporting the Partners in monitoring and managing the fund’s broader portfolio
- Assisting the Finance and Operations team with quarterly investor reporting and asset valuation
- Gaining immediate exposure to founders and high-growth companies
- Contributing to OneVentures’ presence in the ecosystem by building relationships with founders, VCs, advisors and educating the market on growth credit
What We’re Looking For:
Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, a professional demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining OneVentures’ relationships across the innovation, business, private equity and venture capital communities.
- A relevant qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including time in venture capital, growth credit, private credit or financial advisory
- Strong understanding of the venture capital and private equity landscape
- Familiarity with growth credit and debt financing fundamentals
- Advanced analytical and technical skills with proficiency in financial modelling, valuation and returns analysis, particularly as applied to technology businesses
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with founders, investors and advisors
- A self-starter with strong initiative, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in venture capital, innovation and technology-driven businesses
Established connections within the Australian venture capital and scale-up ecosystem are preferred but not essential.
